WHEN THE SUN SHINES
The exhibit concept was inspired by an exhibit on solar energy from the science center Experimenta in Heilbronn.
INVOLVED REASEARCH
Laboratory for Thin Films and Photovoltaics at Empa is researching the next generation of solar cells. These include thin-film solar cells based on chalcogenide and perovskite semiconductors, as well as tandem and bifacial devices for maximum conversion efficiency. The laboratory offers undergraduate projects and the semester course “Solar Cells” at ETH Zurich to educate students and advance the energy transition for the benefit of Swiss industry and society.
SPECIAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
